Who is going down?

It’s been a rather disappointing season if you’re a football fan. After the breathtaking conclusions to Europe’s top leagues last season, it’s been a bit of an anti-climax, to be honest. Domestic titles have been wrapped up with a nonchalant ease, really, in England, Germany, Italy and Holland, and it’s a matter of time before Spain and France follow suit.

In times like these, then, the action lies at the bottom.

The English Premier League, in particular, provides a fascinating image. Queens Park Rangers and Reading put an end to their respective horror-shows after a goalless draw meant that the next meeting between the 2 would be in the Championship. The race for the top four heats up

The race for the top four places is heating up like never before and that is what every delirious football fan has been raving about the past few weeks. The three top-of-the-lot  London clubs are vying for a Top 4 finish as we progress towards the end of the season. More than 50 million pounds depend on Champions league qualification for the next season, and for a club with no sugar daddies shelling out millions and millions from the money tucked in

Could Fabregas return to Arsenal?

Cesc Fabregas could be sold by Barcelona this summer to pay for a big rebuilding job at the Nou Camp, putting Arsenal on red alert.

The former Gunners midfielder is out of favor in Spain and was left on the bench for his side’s Champions League disaster against Bayern Munich in Germany. He does not want to quit his boyhood club, but has fired the exit rumors by trying to buy a £5.4 million flat in London.

Fabregas’ girlfriend Daniella Semaan gave birth to the couple’s daughter Lia earlier this month and the pair are looking into the possibility of bringing her up in England.

Fabregas could return to Arsenal

Arsenal sold the midfielder, 25 currently, to Barcelona for around £35m in 2011 and would jump at the chance to re-sign him. He is under contract until June

Kevin De Bruyne

Borussia Dortmund are looking to strengthen their side by aiming to sign Chelsea Midfielder Kevin De Bruyne. It is reported that the Dortmund based side are ready to offer £15m for the highly rated youngster, who has spent this season out on loan to Werder Bremen.

He has enjoyed fine form with Bremen and may look set to continue his trade in the Bundesliga, if Dortmund can match Chelsea’s valuation of the youngster.

De Bruyne is said to be content at Chelsea but chances of first team action appear bleak with the array of talent that Chelsea possess in their attacking ranks. Dortmund on the other hand, need an attacking midfielder
